An event or situation which threatens serious damage to human welfare in a place in the UK, the environment of a place in the UK, or the security of the UK or of a place in the UK [UK Civil Contingencies Act 2004 (1)]

Consequence:

Outcome of an incident that will have an impact on an organisation"s business objectives

Contact Directory / List / Details:

A list of current contact details including office number, office email, mobile (cell phone) number – may also include home contact numbers for employee"s

Counselling:

The provision of assistance to employees, visitors and contractors who have suffered mental or physical injury through involvement in an Incident

Cordon:

A boundary line of an area that is determined and controlled by the Emergency Services from which all unauthorised persons are excluded for a period of time also determined by the Emergency Services

Critical Activities:

Those tasks, projects and jobs which have to be performed in order to deliver the key products and services which enable an organisation to meet it"s most important and time-sensitive objectives

Critical Documents:

Electronic or paper records which are considered to be essential to the continuation of the business before, during and following an Incident
